For pool service companies

Fill the route,
then sell the repair.

The weekly service stop is the base, and it is worth defending because it renews for years. The equipment work on top of it is where the margin is. We build the presence and the call handling that win both — and we report weekly accounts and repair revenue, not traffic.

The problem

A weekly stop is a decade of invoices. Most marketing prices it like one.

Pool service has an unusually good customer: once a technician is on the property every week and the water is clear, that account renews more or less indefinitely. Almost nobody switches pool companies while things are working. Which means the number that matters is what a weekly account costs to acquire against what it is worth over the years it stays — and nothing in a standard agency report gets anywhere near that.

Sitting on top of the base is a completely different business: heaters, pumps, filters, resurfacing, automation. Four-figure jobs with a considered decision, searched for by their own names, and routinely handed to whoever is already servicing the pool. A campaign that only chases “pool cleaning near me” buys the low-margin half and leaves the high-margin half to somebody else's technician.

Then the season. Demand triples when it gets hot and collapses when it does not, and a flat monthly budget manages to overspend in November and run out in June.

What we report instead

  • Cost per weekly account

Traced to a started service agreement, not to an enquiry or a one-off clean.

  • Repair revenue per account

What the equipment work on the existing base is worth — the half of the business most reporting never touches.

  • Density by service area

Where new stops land against the routes you already drive, because a tight route is the whole margin in weekly service.

What we run for Pool Service

The whole stack, tuned for service and repair.

Bought separately these underperform. Run together, each one makes the next cheaper.

  1. 01

    Local Search & Map Pack

Rank for “pool service near me” and “pool cleaning”, and separately for “pool heater repair”, “pump replacement” and “resurfacing” — they are different searchers with different budgets. Google Business Profile built and managed, service areas drawn to your routes, and the review programme that drives local position.

  2. 02

    Service and Repair, Run Apart

Two campaigns, two budgets, two sets of landing pages. Weekly service converts cheaply and repair converts expensively into a much bigger invoice; blended, the algorithm buys the cheap one all day and the equipment work never appears in the report. Kept apart, both are visible and both are funded.

  3. 03

    Seasonal Demand Planning

Budget weighted to your market's actual season — heavy into opening, held through summer, cut rather than burned in the cold months — with green-up and heatwave spikes anticipated instead of discovered. In most markets this alone is worth more than any single channel change.

  4. 04

    AI Visibility (GEO / AEO)

“Who services pools near me and what does weekly cost?” is now asked of AI agents, and the answer is a shortlist of two or three. Crawler access, plus structured data covering services, equipment brands, service areas and hours — the detail a model needs before it will name you.

  5. 05

    Capture & Convert

In July a green pool is an emergency and the caller works down the list until somebody answers. AI answering and trained CSRs pick up on the first ring, qualify the pool, and book — and flag the equipment questions that are really repair jobs. Every call transcribed and scored.

  6. 06

    Measurement & Growth

Spend, leads, cost per lead, cost per acquisition, revenue and return on spend — one clean scorecard every month, plus a strategy call to decide what to scale and what to cut. You always know what a customer costs and what they're worth.

Proof, not adjectives

Where our numbers come from.

Straight answer about the figures Red Palm publishes: $330 → $51 per PPC lead, three trucks to nine inside a year, six consecutive years of doubling. Those were earned in home-service accounts, and we are not going to present them as pool results. What transfers is the machinery — local search, Local Services Ads, review velocity, call handling and honest attribution work the same way for a weekly route as for an emergency trade, and separating a cheap recurring service from an expensive repair line is exactly the problem we solve in plumbing every day. Ask on the call and we will open the real accounts on screen.

Straight answers

The questions a pool company owner actually asks.

Before you hire any marketing agency, make sure you know these answers.

How do I get more equipment and repair work?

Two places. In the marketing, by running repair as its own campaign against the searches people actually type — heater, pump, filter, resurfacing — rather than hoping a service campaign catches them. And on the phone, because a fair number of repair jobs arrive disguised as a service question, and whether they get identified depends entirely on who picks up. We score calls for exactly that.

What should I do in the off season?

Hold a smaller presence rather than going dark, so you are not rebuilding rankings in April, and shift the emphasis to closings, covers, heaters and the renovation work that is genuinely researched in winter. The mistake is symmetric spending: a flat monthly budget overspends in November and runs out in the week that mattered.

Is a tight route really worth targeting for?

It is most of the margin in weekly service. Two accounts at the same price are not the same account if one adds thirty-five minutes of driving to a technician's day, every week, for years. We report where new stops land relative to your existing routes and weight the spend toward the areas that tighten them.

Why aren't AI agents recommending my business?

Usually one of two things. Your robots.txt is quietly blocking the AI crawlers — GPTBot, ClaudeBot and Google-Extended are blocked by default on a surprising number of sites — or your pages carry no structured data telling the model what you do, where you work and when you're open. Both are fixable, and most of your competitors haven't done it yet.

Do I own my accounts and website?

Yes. The site, the domain, the ad accounts, the Google Business Profile, the analytics — all in your name. You keep everything if you ever leave. Marketing built on a vendor's rented accounts is a hostage situation, and cleaning that up is half of what we get called in to do.

How fast will I see results?

Paid search can produce booked visits in the first week or two. Local search moves in weeks for profile and review work and months for content and links. The weekly-account number builds slowly by nature, since you are watching a base accumulate rather than a spike, and we report it from month one so you can see the curve rather than be told about it later.

It never misses a call. That's money back on your table.

The calls that come in after hours mostly go to voicemail — where they quietly die. Our AI CSR picks up on the first ring, every single time, qualifies the job and books it. Every call it catches is revenue that would otherwise have gone to whoever answered first.

    Reporting & ROI

    Every month, the money.

Not a dashboard you never log into. Spend, enquiries, weekly accounts started, repair revenue and cost per account, traced to the campaign behind each one.

Every campaign is traced from the click or the call all the way to the booked job and the revenue it produced. You see which campaigns make money and which ones we’re about to kill — before you have to ask. Once a month we sit down, walk the numbers, and decide what to spend more on and what to cut.

Put a dollar in, know exactly what comes back out.

    Check your own site

How does your site actually hold up?

One address, one test. Google loads your site on a throttled mid-range phone and reports what a real visitor gets, and at the same time we check whether AI agents are even allowed to read you. Takes up to a minute or two, and we don't keep the result.

A finished site check on screen: an overall score of 78 percent, with performance, SEO, mobile, security and conversion each scored out of 100.

Measured by Google PageSpeed Insights on a simulated mid-range phone. Where your site has enough traffic, the numbers are what real visitors actually experienced over the last 28 days; where it does not, they come from this single test run and are labelled as such. Thresholds are Google’s published Core Web Vitals bands. The agentic browsing score is Google’s too — a Lighthouse category they describe as still under development, measuring whether an AI agent can operate the page.

    How it works
