For pest control companies
Win the route,
not just the callout.
A wasp nest is one invoice. A quarterly plan on that same address is years of them, at a fraction of the cost to win. We build the search presence and the call handling that turn urgent one-off jobs into recurring accounts — and we report cost per recurring account, not cost per click.

The problem
Everyone bids for the emergency. The money is in what happens next.
Pest control has two businesses inside it. One is urgent and expensive to win: somebody has rodents in the roof at nine at night, they search, they call the first three companies that answer, and the cost per lead in that auction is the highest in the category. The other is quiet and worth many times more — the quarterly plan that renews without anybody searching for anything.
Almost all pest control marketing is measured entirely in the first business. Leads, calls, cost per lead — reported monthly, all of it about acquisition, none of it about whether the acquired customer stayed past the first treatment. That is how a company can be told its marketing is working while its route density gets worse and its technicians spend the season driving.
Route density is the number that quietly decides margin. A new account three streets from an existing stop is worth more than one forty minutes away at the same price, and the marketing is where that is either targeted or left to chance.
What we report instead
Cost per recurring account
Traced to a signed plan, not to a form fill or a single treatment invoice.
One-off to plan conversion
What share of emergency callouts become recurring — the number that decides whether the expensive lead was worth buying.
Density by service area
Where new accounts land against the routes you already run, so growth reduces drive time instead of adding it.
What we run for Pest Control
The whole stack, tuned for a route business.
Bought separately these underperform. Run together, each one makes the next cheaper.
01
Local Search & Map Pack
Rank for the searches that actually get typed — “exterminator near me”, “termite inspection”, the specific pest by name — in the postcodes your routes already reach. Google Business Profile built and managed, service areas drawn to your trucks rather than to a county line, and the review programme that drives local position.
02
Google Ads & Local Services Ads
LSA puts you above the map pack with a Google guarantee behind you, and it is priced per lead rather than per click. Search campaigns split by intent underneath it, so a termite inspection worth four figures is not competing for budget with an ant callout.
03
Seasonal Demand Planning
Termite swarm season, the first warm week, autumn rodent migration — demand arrives in spikes and the budget has to be there before the spike, not after the invoice for it. Campaigns are built and funded against your market's actual calendar rather than spread flat across twelve months.
04
AI Visibility (GEO / AEO)
“Who treats termites near me and how much does it cost?” is now asked of an AI agent as often as a search box, and the answer names two or three companies. Crawler access, plus structured data covering pests treated, service areas, guarantees and hours — the detail a model needs before it will name you.
05
Capture & Convert
The rodent call at nine at night goes to whoever picks up. AI answering and trained CSRs answer on the first ring, book the treatment, and — this is the part that matters — offer the plan while the customer is still frightened enough to say yes. Every call transcribed and scored, so you can hear where the upgrade is being missed.
06
Measurement & Growth
Spend, leads, cost per lead, cost per acquisition, revenue and return on spend — one clean scorecard every month, plus a strategy call to decide what to scale and what to cut. You always know what a customer costs and what they're worth.
Proof, not adjectives
Where our numbers come from.
Straight answer about the figures Red Palm publishes: $330 → $51 per PPC lead, three trucks to nine inside a year, six consecutive years of doubling. Those were earned in home-service accounts, and we are not going to relabel them as pest control results. What does carry over is the machinery — local search, Local Services Ads, review velocity, call handling and honest attribution work the same way for a route business as for a plumbing one, and route density is a problem we have solved repeatedly. Ask on the call and we will open the real accounts on screen rather than describe them.
Straight answers
The questions a pest control owner actually asks.
Before you hire any marketing agency, make sure you know these answers.
Can you get me more recurring plans rather than one-off jobs?
- That is the whole design of the programme. Some of it is targeting — the searches that signal an ongoing problem rather than a single incident — and some of it is what happens on the phone, because the plan is sold in the ninety seconds after the customer agrees to the treatment or it is not sold at all. We report one-off to plan conversion every month for exactly this reason.
Is Local Services Ads worth it for pest control?
- Usually yes, and it is one of the few channels where being early still pays. It sits above the map pack, it is charged per lead rather than per click, and the Google Guarantee badge does real work in a category where people are letting a stranger into the house. It needs licence and insurance verification, which is a fortnight of admin, and it is not a substitute for ranking — it is the layer above it.
How do I stop my technicians driving all day?
- By marketing to the postcodes your routes already cover before marketing to the ones they do not. Most campaigns are set to a radius or a whole metro, which buys accounts wherever they happen to be cheapest to acquire and quietly makes every route longer. We report where new accounts land against your existing stops, and weight spend toward the areas that tighten them.
Why aren't AI agents recommending my business?
- Usually one of two things. Your robots.txt is quietly blocking the AI crawlers — GPTBot, ClaudeBot and Google-Extended are blocked by default on a surprising number of sites — or your pages carry no structured data telling the model what you do, where you work and when you're open. Both are fixable, and most of your competitors haven't done it yet.
Do I own my accounts and website?
- Yes. The site, the domain, the ad accounts, the Google Business Profile, the analytics — all in your name. You keep everything if you ever leave. Marketing built on a vendor's rented accounts is a hostage situation, and cleaning that up is half of what we get called in to do.
How fast will I see results?
- Paid search and LSA can produce booked treatments in the first week or two. Local search moves in weeks for profile and review work and months for content and links. The recurring-account number is the slow one by nature — you are watching a base build — which is why we report it from month one rather than starting once it looks good.

AI doesn't recommend businesses because they use the right keywords. It recommends businesses it understands. We structure your website with connected topics, schema, FAQs, entity relationships, and machine-readable content so Google AI, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and future AI platforms can confidently understand — and recommend — your business.

It never misses a call. That's money back on your table.
The calls that come in after hours mostly go to voicemail — where they quietly die. Our AI CSR picks up on the first ring, every single time, qualifies the job and books it. Every call it catches is revenue that would otherwise have gone to whoever answered first.

Reporting & ROI
Every month, the money.
Not a dashboard you never log into. Spend, calls, one-off jobs, recurring accounts signed and cost per account, traced to the campaign behind each one.
Every campaign is traced from the click or the call all the way to the booked job and the revenue it produced. You see which campaigns make money and which ones we’re about to kill — before you have to ask. Once a month we sit down, walk the numbers, and decide what to spend more on and what to cut.
Put a dollar in, know exactly what comes back out.

How does your site actually hold up?
One address, one test. Google loads your site on a throttled mid-range phone and reports what a real visitor gets, and at the same time we check whether AI agents are even allowed to read you. Takes up to a minute or two, and we don't keep the result.

Measured by Google PageSpeed Insights on a simulated mid-range phone. Where your site has enough traffic, the numbers are what real visitors actually experienced over the last 28 days; where it does not, they come from this single test run and are labelled as such. Thresholds are Google’s published Core Web Vitals bands. The agentic browsing score is Google’s too — a Lighthouse category they describe as still under development, measuring whether an AI agent can operate the page.
